Our Story
Silverton Aggregates was founded in 1996 as a sand & gravel merchant at Devereux Farm, Kirby-le-Soken, then an operational dairy farm in rural Essex.
From extremely humble beginnings this small family business thrived, and is now a leading supplier to the construction and building sectors in East Anglia.

Still independently owned, with the original founders at the helm, Silverton now have six branches across the region, recycling plants in Colchester & Braintree and a transport logistics centre in Telford Road Clacton.
Silverton Aggregates are widely recognised within the industry as reliable and competitively priced, with excellent customer service delivering aggregates in Essex, Suffolk and throughout East Anglia.

Since joining Silverton in 2024 as Managing Director, Luke Thurston has played a key role in supporting the continued growth of our thriving aggregate business. Working closely with our outstanding transport and recycling teams, his expertise and leadership have been instrumental in driving operational excellence and strengthening our market position.
